The Book Is (Almost) Finally Here!
My editor just overnighted me the finished book (on-sale date is Oct 4) and I must say it looks HOT!!! Check out these snaps, including some shots of interior pages. I love love LOVE the illustrations by Donna Mehalko, who really nailed the fresh, fun side of tasting. Holding the book for the first time was definitely a crazy experience - I don't have kids, but it certainly made feel like I was holding a "baby" ;). Those interested in pre-ordering are more than welcome to do so already at Amazon.

Hi, Just found your blog via All the Best. I had to do a double take at your post as I am going through the exactly the same experience right now. I have a book coming out this month The Design Directory of Window Treatments and I just received my first copy from my editor two days ago. I understand what you're talking about! It's totally surreal after staring at it for so many months on the computer to actual have it in your hands is weird. Congrats - I'm sure you worked hard for it! You can check out my book on my blog. Congrats on the book, I cannot wait to check it out! I live in NYC, but I visit Napa several times a year for wine shopping trips - hopefully the next one will coincide with one of your parties - they sound fabulous!
